Subject: Middle/High School Leadership Transition

Families of Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies:

We are writing to you to share news of a change in our school leadership for the upcoming school year. Mr. Faisal will be stepping down as principal of Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies. His last day with us will be May 16, 2014. We thank Mr. Faisal for all of his work and wish him all the best. Steps are being taken to identify a new principal, and we will share information when it becomes available.

Everyone at HFA: SCS remains focused on preparing our students for college and careers with a rigorous academic program that is strengthened through developing skills and talents in art and design. That promise to you and your student is at the center of our work every day and will continue to guide our efforts throughout the remainder of this school year and into the years to come. We are inspired by the abilities of our students and passionate about preparing them to seize life-changing opportunities.

There are many important events and exciting milestones to look forward to during the remainder of this school year, including Senior Honors Night, Night of the Arts, Class of 2014 Commencement, and the 8th grade STEP Up promotion ceremony. Please talk with your child about the importance and the responsibility of finishing the school year strong.

If you have questions about our principal transition, please contact Ms. Nan Gill, HFLI’s Director of Education and our District’s Acting Superintendent at ngill@hfli.org or 313-695-1723.

Sincerely,

Deborah Parizek
